Mitsubishi Mini Split Systems. What is a Home Air Conditioning System?
Air conditioning systems all work pretty much the same way — they pull heat from your home using the same basic system your refrigerator uses. The setup may vary from one system to the next, but the fundamentals are the same: there is a condenser coil, which releases hot air outdoors; an evaporator coil, which transfers cool air indoors; and a compressor, which circulates refrigerant fluid between the two. Most home air conditioning is one of two categories: window-mounted or portable units, and central air conditioners (which include split-system or packaged central air).
Mini Split System Reviews. Window-Mounted Air Conditioners.
Also known as room air conditioners, are single-unit systems that fit in windows. These are much less expensive than installing a whole central air conditioning system, although they only work effectively in a single room. They have the advantage of easy setup — some will even plug right into a standard electrical socket, although larger units need an individual 115-volt or 230-volt circuit to plug into. When cold weather comes, you simply unplug the unit and take it out of the window. For homes without air ducts, or when central air conditioning is not an option, these portable units are a great choice.
What is a Aircon Mini Split System? Evaporative Coolers.
These are often called “Persian coolers” because Iran has the largest number of these units worldwide. Evaporative coolers pull air through wet pads, cooling it as the air evaporates the water that has become attached to it.
Split unit air conditioners have two parts: one part of the unit is fixed inside the room and the other part is fixed outside the house. The part that goes inside has the compressor, condenser and the expansion valve, while the outside unit has the cooling coil and fan. Split units are generally more pleasing to the eye and don't spoil the aesthetics of the room. This system allows even cooling of all areas in the house. Almost all central air conditioning systems use the split system, because the cooling capacity is larger.
Mini Split Air Conditioner. Packaged Air Conditioners.
Another type of home air conditioning systems are packaged air conditioners. These are used for larger spaces, like more than two rooms or an office. One type of packaged air conditioner has the compressor, expansion valve, condenser and evaporator all in one box, and the cooled air is passed through ducts in the various rooms by a blower. The other type is one in which the compressor and condenser are packaged in one unit and the compressed gas is sent out through individual units located in the different rooms.
These central air conditioning units are used for large spaces: big buildings, offices, hotels, theaters, malls, etc. In spaces like these central air is more cost-effective than Installing individual units in each room.
