An air cleaner is a device that removes solid particles such as dust, pollen and airborne bacteria. Air filters find utility where air quality is important, especially in building ventilation systems. and engines such as internal combustion engines, gas compressors, pumps, air compressors and others. 

There are four main types of materials used for mechanical air filters, paper, foam, synthetic fibers and cotton. Air filters are in most systems of forced air flow (air). The efficiency of air filters in such systems a significant influence on the quality of indoor air. 

There are different types of filters available for air conditioning systems. Many of them are inexpensive and many filters assembled inside the ducts for air conditioning in buildings are made of fiberglass cross. 

They are disposable, and are available in different densities and sizes. Low density filters allow greater airflow but less dirt filter. Furthermore, high-density filters retain more particles but allow air flow and therefore less dirty before.
