Voltas Split AC Reviews. Clean the Coil Fins.

The first step is to clean the condenser coils. When you clean the coil fins, be careful not to bend them. Cleanse the condenser outside and inside. After disconnecting the unit proceeds as follows:

Voltas Split AC. Clean the Outside Condenser.

Clean the outside condenser, removing any debris, clean the outside of the fins of the coils with a vacuum that has a soft bristle brush. Do not bend the fins to aspire once the outside is relatively clear, direct your attention to the inside of the condenser, using a hose with a spray gun, spray water from inside to the outside coils to remove sticky residue.

Voltas Split AC Models. Bent Coils.

If the condenser has bent coils, must be straightened as much as possible for the unit to function properly. You can not straighten the fins properly without a special tool called comb capacitor. These tools come in a variety of styles including individual heads, multiple or interchangeable with different sizes, to accommodate the size of the condenser fins of the unit. To straighten bent fins seeks to match the number of teeth of the comb with fins per inch of the coil. Then carefully run the comb through to straighten bent fins. Replace the protective grilles and screws.
