Most of the heat in your home rises into the attic. While this heat is stored in the attic, your house will stay warm. You will need to insulate your attic in order to achieve this goal.  It is a good practice in that will also help you save money on energy. Measure the spaces between the beams and calculate the amount of glass fiber you need. Measure the floor and ceiling. Calculate the square footage and then see how many rolls of fiberglass you need. 

Fiberglass is very easy to install. All you need to do is measure the space between the rafters and then cut it into strips that are the right size. You can use a knife to do this.  Use a staple gun to attach the fiberglass roof and floor. Staple the edges to ensure a nice solution.

If the spaces between the floor joists are large enough to house the fiberglass strips, install a plywood floor over them. This will help you walk on the floor of the attic, without falling through the roof.  Do the same as in the roof insulation. Measure the width and length and then cut the strips of fiberglass.
