Self-diagnosis and Auto-protection: Once abnormal operation or parts failure happen, the unit will shut off automatically to protect the system. Meanwhile it will indicate protection or error code for fast service.
Low Ambient Cooling: With built-in low ambient kit or special designed PCB, outdoor fan speed can be changed automatically according to condensation temperature. The air conditioner can run cooling operation even when the outdoor ambient temperature down to 5°F.
Chassis Heating Belt: Heating belt is fitted on the base plate of outdoor unit to prevent defrosting water accumulated, which improves heat transfer efficiency.
Follow Me: Temperature sensor built in the remote controller will sense its surrounding temperature. So the unit can adjust room temperature more accurately to give you comfort.
Turbo Mode: This function gives you a boost in cooling and heating power for a period, and makes the room cool down or heat up rapidly.
Anti-cold Air Function: Indoor fan speed is regulated automatically from the lowest grade to the setting grade according to evaporator temperature when the unit just starts heating operation. This function can prevent cold air blowing out to avoid discomfort to the users.
Quiet Design: Indoor fan will run at super breeze speed and indoor noise level can be extremely low when the unit enters silent mode operation.
12 Grades Indoor Fan Speeds: Up to 12 grades indoor fan speeds, ensure more accurate control and bring more comfortable air flow.
5 Grades Outdoor Fan Speeds: Due to the DC fan motor, outdoor fan speeds increased from 2 grades to 5 grades, more comfortable and energy saving.
1W Standby: Intelligent on-off technology enables Midea products automatically enter energy-saving mode when standby, cut energy consumption from normal 5W to 1W or 0.5 W per hour which counts 80%-90% of saving.
Sleep Mode: The function enables the air conditioner to automatically increase cooling or decrease heating 1℃ per hour for the first 2 hours, then holds steady for the next 5 hours, after that it will switch off. This function maintains both energy saving and comfort at night.
2-way Draining: Both left and right sides of indoor unit are possible for drainage hose connection, easy for installation.
Auto Restart Function: If the air conditioner breaks off unexpectedly due to the power cut, it will restart with the previous setting mode automatically when the power resume.
Louver Position Memory Function: Horizontal louver will automatically move to the same position as you set last time when the unit turned on.
Timer: Set the unit to start and stop automatically in a 24h period.
Self-Cleaning: Indoor unit will continue running at special combined mode to blow and dry indoor evaporator after the unit switched off so as to keep clean and healthy

AURORA floor mounted units are simple to install and can be setup in various configurations, on the floor or hanging low on a wall. Its low height enables the unit to fit perfectly beneath a window. The airflow distribution pattern of Daikins floor mounted unit is ideal for heating a space, and is a perfect replacement to traditional radiant systems. For the coldest regions, the outdoor units of this Daikin AURORA heat pump system have been redesigned to withstand extreme weather conditions with excellent energy efficiency ratings, even when it is down to -13°F / -25°C outside.

The Daikin Aurora Series offers consumers Enhanced Capacity with 20 SEER ratings and a wide range of heating and cooling ranges. With an enhanced capacity of up to 100% Heating Capacity at 5°F/-15°C and 100% Cooling Capacity up to 104°F/40°C, this is a perfect single zone, 9000 BTU mini split system for cold weather climates. Even if it is colder this system ensures year round comfort with temperature ranges for heating from -13°F up to 75°F (with optional heater drain pan) and low ambient cooling ranges from 14°F up to 115°F. Plus it is great for server rooms that may need to be kept cool even when it is cold outside with a cooling range is from -4°F to 115°F, (with optional wind baffle). Both low temperature operating ranges help to make this system a great solution as a primary heating and cooling source almost anywhere in the USA.
